Following the emotional departure of Camille (Sara Martins) in last week’s Death in Paradise, the team are finding their feet on their first case without her.
Lead singer of rock band The Flowers Of Progress, Stevie Smith (Francis Magee), is found electrocuted in the band’s swimming pool.
On the island to record their reunion album and with a major sponsorship deal hanging in the balance, tensions within The Flowers Of Progress (who split up years earlier) are running high.
The relationship between Stevie and his brother Jim (Steve Evets) is stormy, there are rifts between band members and more than one person has an axe to grind. But since all the suspects are recording in the studio at the time of the murder, pinning the crime on any one of them isn’t going to be easy.
With the arrival of new Officer JP Hooper (Tobi Bakare), Dwayne (Danny John-Jules) is taking full advantage of the situation as his superior – by letting the new recruit do all the hard work. How long will it be until laid back Dwayne gets caught out?
Death in Paradise continues on Thursday 05 February at 9.00 pm on BBC One
