Robbie Kay as Peter Pan in Once Upon A Time

Reports have officially confirmed that British actor Robbie Kay (Pirates of the Caribbean : on Stranger Tides, Made in Dagenam) will play Peter Pan in the third Season of  Once Upon A Time.

The second season ended with the revelation that Emma’s (Jennifer Morrison) son Henry (Jared Gilmore) was kidnapped to Neverland on Peter Pan’s orders. With Captain Hook / Killian Jones (Colin O’Donoghue) offering his services and ship, to lead them to Neverland using the last magic bean, it will prove quite the adventure in order to save Henry. Three villains : Hook, Regina (Lana Parrilla), Rumpelstiltskin (Robert Carlyle) and three heroes: Emma, Snow (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Charming (Josh Dallas) will have to work together and put their differences aside.

Peter Pan will be a very different character compared to  the Disney movies and other adaptations, warned show creators Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis. Peter Pan is frightening to some people, and has his own strong motives for the kidnap of Henry.

In “The Heart of the Truest Believer” we got to learn a bit more about the evil Pan. As evil he most certainly is, a psychotic villain with a devilish side looking like a teenage boy. He tricked Henry (Jared Gilmore) into believing he was a run-away Lost Boy, happy to try and get away from Pan’s camp while all that time he needed Henry to make the pixie-dust work.

Peter must have lost his will to believe in ‘lovely thoughts’ and can possibly no longer fly. Though this can’t be the only reason why Henry is so important to Pan. Henry has so much belief in magic, stories and people, and with Emma as his mother – being the product of true love and magical, it will only take some time before Henry may be able to perform magic as well.

Pan has full control over the Lost Boys and the dark shadows. The Home Office makes sure that Tamara and Greg are taken care off. With Greg having his shadow ripped out and Tamara left to die, only for Rumplestiltskin to finish the job. It’s poetic justice that Rumple takes revenge on the woman who shot his son Neal (Michael Raymond – James).

As for Rumplestiltskin, he admits to Lost Boy Felix that he wouldn’t be able to survive a confrontation with Pan, which will make his attempt in saving his grandson Henry all the more interesting!
