The Hobbit – Extended Edition DVD released in November

It’s been announced today that Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit an Unexpected Journey Extended Edition DVD will hit shelves about a month prior to the release of  The Desolation of Smaug in theatres.

The second part of the Hobbit trilogy of films The Desolation of Smaug comes out on 13 December, so this makes a November release of the Extended Edition DVD very likely.

Just like with The Lord of the Rings Extended Edition DVD trilogy, fans of The Hobbit will get the chance to see deleted scenes woven into the film, special bonus features including audio commentaries & in-depth look at the making off  and of course additional score by Howard Shore.

The theatrical version (DVD, Blu-Ray & 3D) is already available to buy.
